This year our focus was:

We are focused on improving students' communication of their own learning. 

and our first action toward our focus was:

1. Let's make the big ideas very clear to students (big ideas are visible and explicit).

As a result of our professional learning around Big Ideas, the school has growing evidence of the explicit use of Big Ideas in planning, teaching and assessment:

Now that we have developed a common understanding of how to engage with Big Ideas and we have made Big Ideas more explicit in our planning, teaching and assessment we are looking to add them to our overviews and previews in the coming year as part of our students' learning goals. As a result, we will be able to move forward with the next action toward our focus:
