An Emerging Focus

During our Professional learning session on June 29, 2021, staff spent time revising our student responses and staff reflections and agreed on the below inquiry question to guide us in the coming school year: 

How can we engage students in reflecting on and communicating about their learning while making connections to big ideas? 

We landed on 3 different approaches/actions to connect our teaching to the focus question: supporting students in self-assessment, including core competencies in our planning and teaching, and providing feedback for formative assessment.
