Summer Program Registration

Interested in signing your child(ren) for a Summer Learning course?

Registration starts on MONDAY! McKinney families! Did you know that a Richmond Continuing Education Summer Learning Program is FREE (one free course) for BC students who are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents and students who have Refugee status?

Summer camps are also available at an additional cost.

It is advised that parents create an account ahead of time for each of their children.  Instructions on how to register can also be found on the website below: Elementary Enrichment and Elementary Camps – Sign Up Starts Monday, April 22nd (at 7:00 pm) – Ends June 7th – Register Early to secure a spot!

Student and Family Affordability Fund

The provincial government recently announced a renewal of one time funds for the Student and Family Affordability Fund. This fund is designed to assist families who require financial assistance with school-related costs in the following areas:

1. school and course fees

2. school supplies and course materials

3. field trips

4. school-related extracurricular opportunities

5. clothing and footwear required for sports and school activities

The next RAM meeting is next Tuesday - April 23rd at 7 pm with Garden City admin representing. The Agenda, with the Zoom details, is attached to this update.

Learning Updates on Thursday, April 25th    

Notice for families that Learning Updates will be sent home by the end of the school day on Thursday, April 25th.  We hope all our McKinney families take the time to read over these updates and celebrate the effort and growth that has happened over the past term.  Learning Updates also offer a great opportunity to revise and review school goals with your child(ren).
