As we step into the vibrant season of spring, we're thrilled to present an array of upcoming events and opportunities for our school community. Here's what's on the horizon:

Taiko Drumming 

Prepare for a rhythmic adventure! From April 15th to 19th, all divisions will be immersed in the captivating world of Taiko Drumming, guided by the talented instructors from Uzume Taiko Drumming. Don't miss the special afternoon performance for families on April 19th.

Track and Field 

Calling all Grades 4-7 students! Join us for a Track and Field Information meeting on Monday, April 8th, at 12:10 in the gym. Practices commence the week of April 15th, culminating in our Track Meet at Minoru Track on May 21st. This year track practices will be offered outside of instructional time for interested students. Come and learn about Track and Field and sign up for the events that you are interested in.

Outdoor Education

A heartfelt thank you to parents for the overwhelming response to the grade 6/7 Outdoor Ed program by getting the forms in by today. We are looking forward to our Outdoor Ed on May 13-15 at the Cheakamus Centre in Squamish. For families yet to submit forms, we'll be reaching out soon to see how we can support the student's participation in this exciting opportunity.

Eagles' Nest

Also, remember to visit Earles' Nest every Friday at Lunch for snacks, supporting Outdoor Ed and other Grade 7 year-end activities.

Grade 7 Farewell

We're seeking Grade 6 and 7 parents interested in planning and hosting our Grade 7 Farewell activities. There will be a meeting for all those interested on April 16th, in the library at 6 pm. Please email Gordon at gfitt@sd38.bc.ca if you are interested in attending.

Hub Cycling

Gear up, Grades 6/7! Save the dates for the next Hub cycling workshops on April 9th & 12th. Please remember to bring your bikes, and accept our apologies for any confusion this week.
