Learning Update Reminder - December 14

This is a reminder that students' Learning Updates will be available on Dec. 14th, accessed online through MyEd Parent Portal.

We are excited to support the MyEducation BC (MyED BC) Parent Portal which provides families with a way to access their child’s school information directly online. With this portal account, you can view attendance, learning updates, and other information about your child(ren). The MyEducation BC application is a secure portal used in all school districts across the province of BC.

Families should have received an email with their login ID and a temporary password to access their accounts. For details please refer to the Parent Portal Letter (see attached).

Account problems?

Please get in touch with the Parent Portal Support Team by emailing MyEdParentPortal@sd38.bc.ca. In the subject line please put Parent Portal, and in the message include the following: McKinney Elementary, Student name, Parent/Guardian name and a brief description of the account issue.

Dress For the Weather

Just a reminder for all McKinney Families that we really need to have our children dress for the weather and it’s always a good idea to have a dry change of clothes at school in case our clothes get wet. Outdoor learning and breaks will still be happening outside in most weather conditions.

We will still be having outside days when it is raining as fresh air and exercise are an important part of a successful school day. Please help ensure your child can stay dry and warm in poor weather conditions.
 

PAC Remenders

The PAC is hosting a Winter Wonderland Family Skate on December 15th at the Minoru Rinks - Please see the attached flyer.

It is time again for the annual PAC Donation Drive. Please see the attached notice for more information. Paper copies of the notice will go home with every student.

iPALS Sessions for 2023 for New to Canada Families and Pre-schoolers

iPals is a program that celebrates and supports families while giving them a window into what it means to be part of an inclusive school community. For more information, please see the attached flyer.
