Class Organization Process for September 2019


In June, the staff at McKinney will be participating in collaborative discussions regarding school organization and placement of students in classes for September 2019.  Our goals is to make the best decisions for your children based on recommendations from teachers, learning assistance and ELL levels, a child's level of social responsibility, strengths and challenges, class configurations and peer interactions.  We will consider relevant information that parents would like to share about their child but cannot consider requests for specific teachers.  Please note that the school principal is ultimately responsible for your child's class placement. 

If you have information you'd like to share about your child, you may write a letter addressed to the school principal.  Please deliver a hard copy letter to the office as opposed to sending an email.  Letters must be received by June 10th.
